Drei Level - pro Level werden je drei Workshops angeboten:
1. Für Beginner mit Grundkenntnissen, die bereits einen Einsteiger-Workshop besucht haben und ihre Grundkenntnisse in wöchentlichen Kursen festigen.
2. Intermediate-Level, für alle, die bereits länger und regelmäßig Balboa tanzen und ihr Repertoire an Figuren-Variationen ausbauen möchten.
3. Advanced-Level, für alle, die einerseits die Herausforderung suchen, andererseits aber auch ihre Tanz-Technik verfeinern und noch stärker zur Musik agieren wollen.
Bei den Workshops sind beide Partys (Freitag und Samstag) im Preis inbegriffen.
Wer nur abends bei den Socials mittanzen möchte, kann die Partys auch einzeln buchen und vorbeikommen (Der "Timetable" ist weiter unten als PDF zu finden).
Die Trainer*innen
Isabell Jaschke & Eran Tobi sind erfahrene Trainer*innen beim "Lindypott" in Dortmund und bieten euch Workshop-Angebote zu den folgenden Themen:
- Beginner: Getting Comfortable With Your Balboa
- Intermediate: 20s Charleston Variations in Balboa*
- Advanced: Dynamic Playfulness
Jenna Applegarth & Nejc Zupan bereichern zum ersten Mal unsere Balboa-Szene und reisen extra aus Slowenien und Wien/USA an.
Sie werden uns Tipps und Tricks zur Vertiefung der Tanztechnik zeigen und bringen ein paar Überraschungen mit.
Am Samstagabend geben sie uns eine Kostprobe ihres Könnens bei einem Auftritt, bevor die Live-Band "Marion et Sobo" aus Köln ab 21.00 Uhr loslegt.
Die Band
Für unsere Party am Samstag hat eine Band der Extraklasse zugesagt.
Die Party am Freitag wird begleitet von Top Balboa vom DJ-Pult.

Meldet euch vorher über unser Online-Formular an. Nach Registrierung erhaltet ihr automatisch eine Registrierungsbestätigung, erst danach erhaltet ihr in einer weiteren Mail die Teilnahmebestätigung und den Angaben zur Kontoverbindung!
Der Platz ist euch nach der Zusage-Mail mit der Zahlungsaufforderung und dem Eingang des Workshop-Beitrages auf dem Vereinskonto - spätestens eine Woche nach der Zusage - sicher
Die Anmeldung ist verbindlich, die Kosten können leider nicht erstattet werden, jedoch können Workshop-Plätze innerhalb desselben Levels und derselben Tanzrolle weitergegeben werden.

Balboa Highlight in Cologne!
"Shuffle into Spring 2023"
Weekend 14.-16.4.
Two excellent coach couples:

Registration opens on Wednesday, 22.2. at 17.00
This year we are offering workshops for 3 levels - There will be 3 workshops per level:
1. beginners with basic knowledge, who have already attended a beginner workshop and are still consolidating their basic knowledge in weekly classes.
2. intermediate levels, who have been dancing Balboa regularly for a longer period of time and would like to expand their repertoire of figure variations.
3. advanced level, who on the one hand are looking for a challenge, but on the other hand want to refine your dance technique and react even more to the music.
With Workshop-Pass, both parties (Friday and Saturday) are included in the price.
If you only want to dance at the socials in the evening, you can also book the parties individually and come over. (Timetable can be found below as a PDF).

On Saturday evening they will give us a taste of their skills at a performance before the live band "Marion et Sobo" from Cologne kicks off at 9pm.

Register in advance using our online form. After registration, you will automatically receive a registration confirmation, only after that you will receive in another mail the confirmation of participation and the details of the bank account!
Your place is guaranteed after the confirmation mail with the payment request and the receipt of the workshop fee on the club account - at the latest one week after the confirmation.
The registration is binding, the costs can not be refunded, but workshop places can be passed on within the same level and the same dance role.

Jenna & Nejc
Jenna found swing dancing in 2004 in her small local scene of Wenatchee WA. Since then she has spent countless hours expanding her dancing repertoire and sharing her love and knowledge of these dances with others. Her energy and passion create the perfect environment for learning. Jenna has attended, coordinated, and taught various workshops and exchanges all across the globe. Some of her favorite highlights are performing at Benaroya Hall in The Jump Session Show and teaching for Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing. Above all else she believes that learning to dance should be fun, and rooted in the music and history. With over 15 years of teaching/coaching/training experience, she loves finding new ways to connect with other dancers on the floor and in the classroom and to create challenging yet applicable lessons in the classroom.

Nejc started swing dancing back in 2003 as a result of his contemporary dance experience and a strong love for jazz music. Because of this he became a main culprit for popularization of Lindy Hop and Balboa in Slovenia in the early 2000s. His Swing dance experience is a collection of endless research into different dance forms, many international workshops and his humble willingness to keep learning from anybod who is whilling to teach him. In the past decade he has tought all over Europe with some of the most talented teachers around and has supported new growing swing scenes in numerous countries. He is known for his elegant and smooth style of dancing as he pays special attention to jazz movement, history and musicality, both equintessential to any Swing dance form.
Eran & Isabelle
Nachdem Eran den Swing 2007 für sich entdeckt hat, hat er nahezu seine gesamte Zeit damit verbracht zu reisen, zu tanzen und den Geist von Lindy Hop, Balboa und Co. in Israel zu verbreiten. Er ist Mitbegründer von Holy Lindy Land, einer der erfolgreichsten Swingtanzschulen unserer Zeit. Die Leidenschaft fürs Tanzen und Unterrichten führte ihn 2013 nach Berlin, von wo aus er seine Liebe zum Swingtanz in die Welt tragen konnte. Eran gewann bereits zahlreiche Wettbewerbe in Lindy Hop, Balboa und Blues bei Veranstaltungen wie den International Lindy Hop Championships, Lindy On The Rocks, der Berlin Blues Explosion, dem Camp Hollywood und den European Swing Dance Championships.
Isabelle war gleich nach der ersten visuellen Begegnung mit den Swingtänzen infiziert und machte daher die zu treffende Wahl ihres neuen Wohnortes davon abhängig, ob man diese Tänze dort erlernen konnte. Und so stürmte sie kurz darauf Freiburgs Tanzflächen und ließ keine Möglichkeit aus, lokal und international Wissen aufzusaugen und Neues auszuprobieren. Bald schon wurde die Tanzschule zum zweiten Zuhause und Isabelle konnte auf allen Lindy Hop, Balboa und Blues Tanzflächen angetroffen werden.
Seit 2017 unterrichten die beiden gemeinsam in ihrer neuen Homebase, dem Ruhrpott, wo sie auch mit dem Bestreben angetreten sind, eine wachsenden Balboa Community zu etablieren. Eran und Isabelle sind fest davon überzeugt, dass eine gute Bewegungsqualität beim Paartanz von großer Bedeutung ist. In ihren Kursen lernt ihr mit Hilfe von Beispielen aus dem Alltag und viel Humor, wie ihr komplexe Bewegungsabläufe im Tanz einfacher bewältigen könnt. Außerdem werdet ihr merken, dass hinter Erans sanftem Lächeln und Isabelles zuweilen strengem Blick ein hartnäckiges Lehrerpaar steckt, das nicht aufgibt bis ihr das Gefühl bekommt, es verstanden zu haben.
Eran & Isabelle:
After discovering swing for himself in 2007, Eran has spent almost all his time traveling, dancing and spreading the spirit of Lindy Hop, Balboa and Co. in Israel. He is the co-founder of Holy Lindy Land, one of the most successful swing dance schools of our time. His passion for dancing and teaching led him to Berlin in 2013, from where he was able to spread his love of swing dancing to the world. Eran has won numerous competitions in Lindy Hop, Balboa and Blues at events such as the International Lindy Hop Championships, Lindy On The Rocks, the Berlin Blues Explosion, Camp Hollywood and the European Swing Dance Championships.
Isabelle was infected with the swing dances right after her first visual encounter and therefore made the choice of her new place of residence dependent on whether these dances could be learned there. And so, shortly thereafter, she stormed Freiburg's dance floors, never missing an opportunity to absorb local and international knowledge and try out new things. Soon the dance school became a second home and Isabelle could be found on all Lindy Hop, Balboa and Blues dance floors.
Since 2017, the two have been teaching together in their new home base, the Ruhrpott, where they also started with the ambition to establish a growing Balboa community. Eran and Isabelle are firm believers in the importance of good quality movement in couple dancing. In their classes, you'll learn how to manage complex movement in dance more easily with the help of examples from everyday life and a lot of humor. You'll also notice that behind Eran's gentle smile and Isabelle's sometimes stern look is a persistent pair of teachers who won't give up until you feel you've understood.
